What is Zotero?

Answer

Zotero is a bibliographic citation software for managing your references. It has two components: an open-source application that is free to download onto your computer and a connector that you can add to your browser in order to capture reference information straight from the web. You can download Zotero here.

Learn more about Zotero in our Reference Management research guide

Zotero allows the easy capture of web pages and records from many of the Library databases; the production of bibliographies and citations in various styles; the downloading and indexing of full text resources; and the creation and management of reading notes. It is the library's software of choice for reference management.

Zotero workshops are open to current TC and CU students, faculty, and staff. Check our Events page and CU libraries' workshop schedule for upcoming dates.
